Residential Treatment for Adult Women
Mirasol's acclaimed integrative residential eating disorder treatment program for women 18 and up combines cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapies with alternative therapies proven effective in the treatment of chronic stress-related conditions. Featured therapies include polarity therapy, acupuncture, body image work, art therapy, dance-movement therapy and yoga. Trauma resolution utilizes EMDR, psychodrama and somatic therapies to enhance the recovery process. All clients receive an individual brain map and a protocol designed to address their specific needs. Mirasol pioneered the use of neurofeedback in the treatment of eating disorders, and all clients receive regular EEG biofeedback training.
Mirasol has been fully licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services Office of Behavioral Health Licensure since 1999 and certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2006.
The program includes a four-day family program and one full year of intensive aftercare. The Mirasol staff looks closely at the bio-psycho-social relationship between the body, nutrition, and mental health. We strongly believe that the psychological experience is inseparable from physiological and spiritual states, and that working with the whole mind-body-spirit simultaneously promotes transformation in individuals and, ultimately, in families and communities.
